Customer Reviews: Practical and Refreshing Way to Discipline Your Children March 26, 2000 Dan Brockett (Westlake Village, Ca. USA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
If you are looking for some practical useful ways to get guidance in raising confident children this is the book. It seems as though this book is an update to her earlier book "A hug, a Kiss and a kick in the Pants" which my mother loaned me last year. My daughter is 5 years old and we have used the consequences method for discipline her whole life, it seems to work for us. We like the examples Kay Kuzma gives to validate her methods of disicpline and to preserve my childs self worth and keep her independant and self confident. I have to pick up Easy Obiedience for reference at least once a month because consequence method is so complex. Easy Obiedience provides the necessary information I need even as our daughter gets older, it translates to all phases and ages of children, it works for my 16 month old son as well. Kay seems to have the life experience, to go along with her fine education. I find some of her stories amusing and a positive ways to provide direction for my child. Her humerous adecdotes, and comical ways to get a child's attention adds some comedy to our lives as I am inspired to think of new ways for my own children. I look forward to other books from this wonderful author.
